I have been blessed! From growing up in a household where every night dinner was freshly made on a stove (not micro waved) and music and laughter reigned supreme, (the music was typically the Rolling Stones, and the laughter came from me and my two brothers watching my parents dance), to spending my career working in restaurants, with world class chefs and sommeliers, and wine retailers who allowed my obsession with food and wine to blossom.. In the spring of 2008, I was introduced to the ever growing wine industry here in Vermont by a very dear friend, whose obsession with beer and brewing was just as insatiable as my obsession with wine. Every day there is something new to be learned, and with each new bit of knowledge I have the opportunity to teach others from all over the globe about this amazing elixir, whether it be in the tasting room, private tastings, or seminars. In the summer of 2009, I took (and thankfully passed) my first exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers and am currently preparing for the 2nd certification exam. In the interim, I have the opportunity to work with our vineyard manager and wine makers on just about every aspect of wine; from vine to glass. Oh yes! Life is good!
