Drop in on Thursday mornings at 9am for an hour of rejuvenating yoga to start your day.  All ages and abilities are welcome.  Bring your own yoga mat.  $14 per session.

Simply put, yoga feels amazing! No matter what your level, each class is an invitation to self-discovery and a step on the road to renewal. We start with a short meditation period giving you time to “arrive”, find center, and act from your core.  Your breath becomes your guide, creating inner space and leading you in your own emerging practice. The class focuses on steady flow, physical alignment, and sharpening self-awareness. We build strength and heat through standing poses and core work, playing with balance and locating the vitality within. With backbends and twists, we gently liberate typically tight areas in the shoulders, chest, upper back, and hips. We balance intensity with nurturing, restorative components for a holistic rejuvenating experience.  The practice fosters greater self-acceptance, increased mental clarity, and inquiry into areas that need healing. Students walk away with a solid, broader foundation in yoga, regardless of experience. This is a friendly welcoming environment open to all levels of practitioners.

Shelburne Vineyard’s celebration will include a Benefit for the CVOEO WARMTH Support Program, heating assistance for low income Vermonters.  Admission is free, but we suggest a donation of your choice to WARMTH.  Let’s generate some heat together!

-2:00 Seminar by Ken Albert, Founder and Owner of Shelburne Vineyard.  Ken will cover such topics as, growing cold-hardy grapes and making wines in the North Country- America’s newest viticulture region.  Balancing sustainable practices, profitability and quality as well as emerging trends.

-4:00 Tips from a sommelier, selecting, storing, pouring and enjoying.

-5:00 Wine tasting -Shelburne Vineyard and other North Country wines.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at growing grapes in Vermont?  This interactive class will be based largely on our experiences here at Shelburne Vineyard.  Topics will include, a history of the different grapes grown in our region, what and where to plant, layout of the vines, vine growth stages, vineyard nutrition, canopy management, pruning, and other topics of specific interest to attendees.  Enjoy tasting some of our wine paired with local cheeses.
