The music begins at 6pm and will present 2 full sets of music.This is a family friendly event. We have plenty of non-alcoholic drink options 🙂 Everyone 12 years of age and over needs a ticket.
Brett Hughes has been a long-time collaborator in the dynamic Burlington, Vermont music scene, as member of seminal local and regional bands (Decentz, viperHouse, Chrome Cowboys, Monoprix), and has been a singer/songwriter/bandleader in myriad VT-based outfits. In 2005, he won a regional Emmy Award for soundtrack composition (for VPT’s Windy Acres), and was voted Vermont’s 2023 Best Country Artist in the Vermont weekly Seven Days “Daysies” poll.
He’s had several engineer/producer credits (Brad and Andrew Barr’s Surprise Me Mr. Davis, NOLA’s Duke Aeroplane & The Wrong Numbers, Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, and sturdy-song writing/smart-singing Esther Rose, Burlington’s Joe Adler, Vermont songwriter Steven Leibman...) He hosted the beloved, long-running old-school C&W residency Honky Tonk Tuesday at Burlington’s Radio Bean for over ten years, played the Bonnarroo, Mountain Jam, moe.down festivals with Mike Gordon (Phish) in Ramble Dove, and toured much of the US and Europe several times over with Nashville-based country-soul powerhouse Shannon McNally.
Now living in Warren, VT, he’s been playing with That Bluegrass Band, Prickly Mountain Playboys and Bar Brides. Now if he could just finish up and put out his dang record album(s)....
