Harvest Festival: Supporting Feeding Chittenden

  • Shelburne Vineyard 6308 Shelburne Road Shelburne, VT, 05482 USA (map)

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 4th, as Shelburne Vineyard & Eden Ciders proudly present this year’s annual Harvest Festival celebration and community fundraiser. This beloved event, designed as a small farmer's market, creates a positive impact for our local population by supporting Feeding Chittenden, the region's leading organization dedicated to providing food assistance and essential services for those in need.

The festival kicks off at 11am and runs until 4pm, offering a day of community building, commerce, and compassion. Admission is free with a donation of non-perishable food items or cash, with all admission proceeds going directly to Feeding Chittenden. Attendees can meet the incredible team behind Feeding Chittenden and gain insight into the vital work they do within our community.

An array of local producers will offer samples plus items for sale during the Harvest Festival. You can get a head start on your holiday shopping, while supporting a great organization and enjoying a day with your family & friends. A gift item from each vendor will be raffled off every hour, with a grand prize of wine & cider raffled off at the end of the festival. Your entry donation of a food item or cash entitles you to a chance to win one of those items!

Among the local producers you’ll find at the 2023 Harvest Festival are Wild Hart Distillery, Bear Moon Botanica, Frog Hollow Farms, Jasper Hill Farm, Matryoshka's Bakery, Shelburne Farms, Eden Ciders, Frolic Goods, and Mudcraft Pottery Studio.

Montpelier’s Paprika Catering Company will be onsite all day serving up fresh, handmade empanadas.

Our community has been faced with one of the most difficult years in Vermont’s history. From the May frost that devastated budding grapevines throughout the state, to historic flooding that caused major property and crop damage, Vermonters have been through so much. As part of its focus on giving, Shelburne Vineyard responded with fundraising efforts such as the donation of all sales from its Sangria Slush to organizations that are helping with local flood relief.

Through donations from attendees, past Harvest Festivals have raised enough each year to provide around three thousand pounds of food that helped sustain the people Feeding Chittenden serves as we enter the colder, more challenging time of year. Shelburne Vineyard hopes, with your help, to meet or even exceed contributions from previous festivals and make this season an easier and happier one for our community.
