This Month's Comedians: Gordon Clark, Vicki Ferentinos, Kevin McTaggart & Aaron Richter
Gordon Clark is proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. A lifelong organizer and activist, he took up comedy when he was nearing 60… And never looked back. (Mostly because it hurts his neck when he turns that way.) Gordon is the director of the nonprofit Vermont Comedy All Stars, through which he produces and hosts monthly standup comedy showcase specials in Burlington (at the iconic Nectar’s) and Montpelier (Bent Nails Bistro), as well as a quarterly showcase at the Next Stage Arts Theater in Putney.
Vicki Ferentinos started her comedy career over a decade ago at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. She quickly transitioned to stand up and has been seen on Comedy Central, Wor Radio, and the Food Network. Her one woman show “Lady Bug Warrior” was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Besides comedy, Ferentinos has been a professional chef for two decades and was the winner of “Rocco’s Dinner Party” on Bravo tv. Her brand of comedy is upbeat, to the point, and honest. She has been called “Effervescent and Captivating” by the New York Times for her storytelling. Most recently she performed her new one woman show “Woman of the Woods” to a sold out audience at the Grange theater, in Pomfret, Vermont. She writes a weekly column in The Vermont Standard called “From the Mixing bowl, a mix of funny stories and recipes. Ferentinos also was the top three finalist in Vermont's Funniest Comedian Contest. She has been part of the Vermont Comedy Festval, The Boston Comedy Festival as well as The Portland Comedy Festival. Her culinary career brought her from NYC to Vermont six years ago and she is thrilled to be getting back to the funny more actively.
Kevin McTaggart has been a stand up comedian for nearly 10 years and lives in Norwich VT (No it's not where Norwich University is so STOP ASKING!)
Aaron Richter is a stand up comic who travels all around New England telling the occasional funny joke or story. His sets serve as a reminder of the dangers of getting too deep into comedy with no way out. He’s thrilled to be in “Wit and Wine” for the first time!
