Our Winery
Wine making is a year-round process which requires the work of many hands. Whether it's harvesting, crushing, pressing, fermenting, aging, blending, or bottling, we're working all year to get those grapes into your glass.
Barrel Program
We use American made Hybrid oak barrels constructed from both French and American oak and Hungarian oak. Each barrel has its own characteristics, and our barrels are charred on the inside to a medium toast. We use the same barrels for many, many years until they are considered to be “neutral”. We feel that our wines are at their best when their fruit qualities are allowed to shine through, so barrel aging is primarily about the long, slow exchange of oxygen through the pores of the barrel.
Sustainability in the Winery
Our winery is extremely well-insulated and energy efficient. We use lightweight glass bottles to reduce material waste. Any wine spillage, lees from tanks, or organic waste we create as a by-product of our process we compost. The only thing that goes down our drain is water. In 2021, we removed all capsules from our bottles to reduce waste.
